September 11, 2026 - Sterling Health Care’s (SHC) Board of Directors, executive leadership team, and the entire staff are excited to announce another major milestone for the organization, which also affects another trusted healthcare organization within the local community.
Effective Thursday, October 1, 2026, the providers and staff of Mount Sterling Clinic (MSC) will officially become part of the SHC family and strengthen the care and services provided to patients of both current clinics. The acquisition will allow patients of SHC to benefit from additional trusted, experienced professionals who have been an integral part of the Mount Sterling community for many years, while patients of MSC will continue to have the meaningful, one-on-one patient care they’ve always received from Dr. Danielle King and her staff while also being able to access benefits afforded only by a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) such as SHC.
“This is a very significant step for patients and families of both organizations,” said SHC Chief Executive Officer Tina Bryant. “First and foremost, we are both committed to our missions of providing quality health care in a thorough, comprehensive manner. We both place a tremendous value on building and maintaining a high level of trust from our patients, and this acquisition strengthens that commitment. Sterling Health Care is very excited to welcome the clinic’s providers and staff in this new journey, as well as the many valued patients we look forward to helping with their care.”
Joining a like-minded healthcare organization that understands complex care was one of the primary reasons cited for the move by Dr. Danielle King, who has been a part of MSC since 2002.
“Sterling Health Care recognizes the depth of caring for patients with multiple medical conditions and the importance of providing thorough, compassionate care,” King said. “Sterling Health Care offers access to services such as lower-cost medications, counseling and therapy, transportation assistance, real-time radiology services to help expedite care, and urgent care options for sick visits.”
In addition, Dr. King stated this transition allows her “to continue spending the time needed with my patients, including thorough physical examinations, careful identification of medical problems, and individualized treatment plans. It will allow my staff and employees to join me in continuing to care for our patients, providing familiarity and continuity during this exciting next chapter.”
The date for MSC’s physical move to SHC’s main campus at 633 Maysville Road is tentatively scheduled for March 1, 2027, with patients still being seen at their current location until that time.
